About Mystelle
Mystelle grew up in a family surrounded by music. Her father played guitar, accordion and fiddle, mother played guitar, bass guitar and harmonica, grandma played German polkas and schottishes on fiddle. Her father and an uncle built electric guitars entirely by hand, making every part themselves including the hardware, pickups, and amplifiers. Another uncle made violins and classical guitars.
Mystelle began with accordion lessons at 7, and found it was easy to translate the musical foundation she had learned to other instruments such as her parents' guitars and fiddle, and the pianos and electric organs owned by other relatives. At age 10 her attention turned to the electric guitar, influenced initially by Chet Atkins, Larry Carlton, Joe Pass, Jeff Beck, Bonnie Raitt, the Ventures, and others. She loves many kinds of music and decided early on that she would learn from everyone but not copy or imitate them, as no one could play another's style as well as the original, best to have your OWN style... and Mystelle has accomplished that goal.
